26-27 August 2001
The Carnival is held in London every year, since the first few immigrants from the Carribean decided to have a party to create a little bit of home in West London. We decided not to go away for the last Bank Holiday Weekend of the year and instead have a big party to celebrate the event in Ladbroke Grove.
The first day of the Carnival, Sunday is the family day, and it was a terrible day too with rain getting in the way of things - but not dampening too many peoples attitudes. The second day Monday - the big party day saw the sun come out and we were greeted by clear skies from the moment we ventured out of bed until there was no more sunshine left.

| Birds and butterflys, the costumes were fantastic and they kept coming from about 11:30am until 10:30pm |
The crew that came around for the big day enjoyed a barbie,
a massive bucket of punch, a bird's eye view of the
2 million people wandering past our front door and some of
the best weather that London can put on. Other views on sight
varied from a pair of fingers (or with the help of Ben)
a pair of some of the best England has to offer..
Also today, Australia managed to demolish England to win the
Ashes 4-1.
